Ms. Yi's Discipline Plan
Every child has the right to learn in a safe and pleasant
environment. All students in my class are expected to be
respectful,
responsible, and
safe.
What is your stance on discipline?
I am a firm believer in problem solving and learning from one's
mistakes. Therefore, students will be given the opportunity to
reflect on their behavior through teacher/student conferences. I
also provide mediation for those students who need it.
How will I be notified of my child's behavior?
Communication between home and school is very important. I will use
the agenda as a tool for communication and to document your child's
behavior. When you see a note from me in your child's agenda, please
use that as an opportunity to have a discussion with your child
about his/her behavior.
Why is there a stamp in my child's agenda?
A stamp in your child's agenda is a quick and easy way to let you
know that your child had a terrific day. This would be a great time
to praise your child's behavior.
Why are some stamps crossed out?
Students have the opportunity to purchase prizes with their stamps.
Whenever your child purchases a prize, the required number of stamps
will be crossed out. This is to help your child keep track of how
many stamps he/she has left to spend.
